Belgian Adventures-Part 2

After we left Durbuy, we had to hurry up a bit to get to the “Grottes Merveilleuses” because the last tour was at 3 o’clock. Be sure to check the timings of tourist-attractions before going because in off-season, a lot of things are only open on weekends and only till 4 o’clock.

So the first thing we did in Dinant was the “Grottes Merveilleuses”. It was pretty impressive and fascinating. Our tour-guide spoke English and had a detailed explanation for everything. The one minus point: we were about 25 people visiting and the underground place was very narrow. If you stood a bit behind, you would not hear everything. At the end of the tour, you have to climb a 125 steps before you can see the light again. The tour lasted about 1 hour.

Then we rushed to the Citadelle of Dinant. Again, it was about to close so we had to hurry. The view from up there is breathtaking and it’s worth it. You can either drive up there , take a cable-car or walk the 500 steps.

Before ending our day, we strolled the streets of Dinant. You could find cute little tea-places everywhere . We ended our day with some Italian food and a little photo-shoot to capture Dinant’s beauty by night.
